Welcome to Il Forno Ellijay.

We wanted a great place to eat without driving all the way to Atlanta. Now, people from the city are making the trip to eat here!  We are now associated with Jim White, formerly of Jim White's famous Half Shell Restaurant in Atlanta.  Jim has joined us as our General Manager bringing his expertise to Il Forno.  With a new menu featuring the freshest seafood available and some of Jim's special recipes from the Half Shell, Il Forno is quickly becoming Ellijay's best place to eat!  Of course, we are still serving our most popular Italian dishes which includes our famous pizza.

Ellijay is a beautiful mountain town with most of the major restaurant chains represented, but not a single fine dining restaurant…until now.

Come see what everyone is excited about.  Il Forno, Ellijay’s best kept secret, can be found in the Highland Crossing Shopping Center across the parking lot from Lowe’s and Beall’s in East Ellijay, Georgia, featuring a full bar, intimate dining and the feeling of dining in a small Italian town!

Our full service bar has become a local favorite with Happy Hour daily from 4-7 pm and additional specials on Tuesday (Draft Beer $0.99), Wednesdays offer Margaritas for $2.75 and Thursday brings a free personal pizza at the bar with a cocktail purchase.  We provide a professional, personal touch for all special events.  Weddings, anniversaries, all holiday celebrations and civic group meetings are our specialties’. Seating is available for groups of up to 100 people.  We can cater to larger groups at an off-site local resort.

"Our dining experience at Il Forno last weekend falls solidly into the “WOW!” category.  There is no pizza in this area that can match the utterly delicious pie we had, and the Bananas Foster was heavenly.  Prepared with great flair in front of us, complete with flaming brandy sauce and sparkling accents of cinnamon and nutmeg, it was a culinary delight, complemented by a rich cup of Espresso.  A romantic atmosphere, great service, and terrific food – we’ll be back for more!"
